Evl Test by Evlution Nutrition Reviewed
Evl Test is one of the more interesting testosterone boosters I’ve reviewed.
They went completely mainstream in their ingredients focusing around herbs which have been shown over and over again in scientific case studies to not work.
In fact, D-Aspartic Acid (DAA) was shown in one scientific case study to actually decrease testosterone! (study)
Yet it and fenugreek are still among the most popular natural testosterone boosters in bodybuilding circles due to old school group think, rampant misinformation and “affiliate marketers” that make gobs of cash online promoting these two cheap to manufacture substances.
On the other hand, I have to give Evil Test some props because despite the fact I disagree with every single ingredient in their herbal support, they do give very strong doses for the cost.
They also provide a strong group of vitamins and minerals which have been shown in human case studies to boost testosterone.
Now that I’ve already summed up the entire review for you upfront, let’s break it down a bit.

What I Like About Evl Test
Evl Test does have a few really strong points to be said about it.
⇒ Strong Vitamin and Mineral Support
They do a great job with their vitamin and mineral support and have strong doses of scientifically proven ingredients.
I do wish they would have included boron but it is expensive and they are already giving a lot of ingredients for the relatively cheap price point.
⇒ Great Price!
I may not like their choice of herbal support but I have to give them credit for the cost.
If you are going to supplement with fenugreek, d-aspartic acid and DIM despite my recommendation not to do so, this is in fact a great product to go with.
⇒ Strong Doses and Standardizations
Once again, despite that I don’t like their herbal support choices, they do give strong doses and with great standardizations. They did not cut any costs here and I have to give them credit for that!
⇒ Made in the USA – FDA and GMP Certified Facility
With so many supplement companies trying to cut corners and save costs everywhere they can, it’s always refreshing to see a company like Evlution Nutrition coming through with high quality!
What I Don’t Like About Evl Test
Fenugreek is used to treat menopausal symptoms, induce childbirth, and increase the supply of breast milk in lactating mothers.
So why is it in Evl Test?
Probably because of a patented extraction method called “Testofen” which used “in-house” studies to try and validate it as a miracle testosterone booster.
Interestingly, Nugenix which helped push Testofen into the limelight by running a series of extremely costly ads, doesn’t even use that extraction method in their own Ultimate Testosterone product, opting instead for regular Fenugreek Extract.
Case studies are often misrepresented by supplement companies and those touting D-Aspartic Acid are most certainly playing with smoke and mirrors.
In human studies, D-Aspartic Acid has been shown to boost testosterone in infertile men within the first 6 – 12 days. However, after just 1 month, their testosterone levels decreased back to baseline.
In other words, unless you are an infertile man and looking for a very temporary boost, it’s probably not going to do much for you.
In fact, one study actually showed it may decrease testosterone. (study)
I have yet to read a legitimate scientific case study done on humans since 1985 which showed tribulus increases testosterone.
It is good for libido but for testosterone… not so much.
There is a lot of hype around DIM but to date the human studies have varied greatly with little to no evidence supporting claims of a testosterone increase.
In fact, there has been evidence showing it may actually decrease testosterone in humans while in rats it has been shown to lead to histological degeneration of testicular tissues which is something you obviously don’t want.
DIM may block estrogen but it also blocks DHT which is a super powerful estrogen blocker in its own right so the overall effects may just cancel itself out as an estrogen blocker.
Lastly, DIM is frequently used to treat postmenopausal women.
While a nutrient can certainly have multiple benefits and can react differently in men than women, in this case it just leaves yet another question mark as to what Evl Test was thinking adding it to their testosterone booster.
Does Evl Test Work?
As already mentioned, I completely disagree with their choice of herbal ingredients and back up my reasons with science.
However, their vitamin and mineral support is pretty top notch and I do believe you will see some benefits just on that merit alone.
Considering a 30 day supply will only run you $34.95 on Amazon, it’s certainly not going to put a dent in your wallet to try it for yourself.
