Top 3 Best Multivitamins for Athletes & Bodybuilders Ranked

0

Ranking the 3 best multivitamins for athletes and bodybuilders was not an easy task. There are literally thousands of brands of multivitamins on the market.

Fortunately, for my review process I was able to knock it down to a handful of brands just by what is on the label as the vast majority of multi’s on the market are extremely low quality and a waste of research time.

Out of those handful of supplement brands I was able to pick the top 3 best to present to you. I have personally used all 3 multivitamins and can personally attest to their extreme quality.

No matter which you choose you cannot go wrong, it’s really just about personal preference. All 3 have several great pro’s and at least 1 con.

Without further ado, here are the 3 multivitamins you need to choose from for your athletic and/or bodybuilding endeavors.

Next Level Superfoods Multivitamin -- Alpha Wolf Nutrition

Next Level Superfoods Multivitamin by Alpha Wolf Nutrition

Next Level Superfoods Multivitamin by Alpha Wolf Nutrition really changed the game for what a multi should be.

Instead of overdosing standard vitamins and minerals as so many companies do they focused on providing a true dietary supplement based on whole and superfoods which are packed full of antioxidants, phytonutrients, anti-inflammatory properties, nitric oxide boosting properties and nootropics to increase mental health, focus and energy.

While many brands put “superfoods” in their multi, when you look closely at the ingredients you’ll see the dosage is typically hidden in a proprietary blend so they can mask how little of the ingredient is actually in their product.

Next Level really changed the game because nothing is hidden and the doses are POWERFUL. Take a look at the ingredient label for yourself.

PROS

  • The Only Fully Dosed Superfoods Multivitamin on the Market
  • Healthy Amounts of Standard Vitamins and Minerals
  • Addresses Multiple Areas of Health and Wellness
  • Includes Vitamin K2 as MK7 (Highest Form of Bioavailability)
  • Great Dose of Extremely Important Iodine (source naturally from Kelp)
  • Strong Anti-Inflammatory Properties
  • Ingredients to Help Increase Blood Flow
  • Nootropics for Powerful Mental Support
  • Includes Bioperine in the formulation to help bioavailability

CONS

  • 6 Tablet Serving Is A Lot and Not for Everyone!

Disclaimer: I personally helped formulate Next Level Superfoods Multi so I am biased towards it. With that said, I challenge anyone to compare the ingredients label to any other brand on the market and see for yourself how powerful it really is.

Where to Buy

Pick it up directly from Alpha Wolf Nutrition or you can purchase it on Amazon.

If you purchase direct from their website, you can use coupon code “itestosterone” for 10% off your order.

Triumph -- Legion Athletics

Triumph by Legion Athletics

Triumph by Legion Athletics really makes a fantastic all around multivitamin for athletes and bodybuilders. Before I switched to Next Level this is the multi I personally took.

In addition to the standard vitamin and mineral list found in most multi’s, they also include several powerful extracts including a full dosage of KSM-66 Ashwagandha which is fantastic.

I am also a big fan of Nigella Sativa (also known as Black Seed) and they provide a nice dosage at 500mg.

Some other ingredients I like but they are underdosed in my opinion is Grape Seed Extract 150mg (compare to Next Level at 400 mg), Olive Leaf Extract 80mg and Fucoxanthin 8mg which is an aspect of brown seaweed.

I’m a huge fan of Brown Seaweed and its compound Fucoxanthin. But when you compare the 8mg of chemical specific extract in Triumph to the 400mg of Brown Seaweed Extract with 20mg of Fucoxanthin in Next Level Superfoods Multi, Triumph falls a bit short.

Triumph also includes both vitamins K1 and K2 (as MK7) which is absolutely fantastic!

Triumph Ingredients

PROS

  • Great Support Extracts In Addition to Standard Vitamins and Minerals
  • Fully Dosed KSM-66 Extract is Incredible
  • Strong Nigella Sativa Extract is a Great Addition
  • Slightly Underdosed but Still Good Extracts in Grape Seed and Fucoxanthin
  • Great K2 MK7 Dose
  • Solid Dose of Iodine (but not sourced naturally)

CONS

  • 8 Capsule Serving Is Large and Not for Everyone!
  • Some Extracts Should Be Dosed Higher for Full Power
  • B12 is Well Overdosed Which Comes With Risks

Where To Buy

I always purchased mine from Amazon

Orange Triad -- Controlled Labs

Orange Triad by Controlled Labs

Orange Triad by Controlled Labs was actually my go to multivitamin for years until about a decade ago. The biggest reason was for their very strong joint support formulation of MSM and Glucosamine Sulfate.

They also include a pretty nice digestion and immune complex, however, exactly how much of each ingredient in it is hidden in a proprietary blend and is only 1,275 mg with 12 different ingredients.

That means if everything is dosed evenly (it most likely isn’t) you would only be getting a little over 100mg for each ingredient. Better than nothing but perhaps not all that helpful.

There is also a very health dose of Vitamin K2 (as MK7) which is super important.

This is still a fantastic multivitamin for athletes and bodybuilders alike just for the strong joint support it provides in addition to the standard vitamins and minerals.

Orange Triad Ingredients

  • Some Doses Are Hidden In a Proprietary Blend
  • Some Vitamins and Minerals Are Overdosed Including B12 Which Has Risks
